World War II German Reich Medals
The establishment of Nazi Germany is viewed as one of the greatest horrors to ever fall upon the world, and its imagery has been suppressed in an effort to never again see such powerful hatred enrapture the globe. Forewarning, the artifacts on display within this folder depict Nazi iconography, and some might find these images disturbing. The purpose of this portion of the collection is to show people the humanity behind the regime, to focus on the personal aspect of living under the Reich, and to show the horror of what living under the swastika was like. Artifacts in this collection range from an Atlantic Wall Defender Medal to a Gold U-Boat Service Badge, and a Waffen SS Sleeve patch made at Dachau.
